Achievements and awards. The programs underwent state accreditation in 2020.
The department was the winner of the all-Russian contest “Economics and Management 2014,” the winner of the project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia in 2011 and 2013, the X International open contest "Effective Department of Higher School" in 2017, the all-Russian contest "Social Entrepreneurship: Education – 2017."
Teaching staff includes five Doctors of Sciences, 20 Candidates of Sciences including three laureates of the Russian Federation Government Award in Education. Many teachers have state awards, honorary titles and certificates of appreciation obtained from the Russian Federation Government, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, regional and municipal authorities. They are prize winners of contests and exhibitions.
Facilities and resources. Classrooms have multimedia and language equipment, computers and software. The library has access to Russian and international electronic library systems, legal and analytical systems.
Research. The main research areas include theory and practice of modern state and municipal management; current issues in social development and human resource management.
Education. The educational program is evaluated and positively reviewed by the regional employers. It is implemented in cooperation with regional and municipal authorities, employers representing the real sector of economy. The university and its partners hold webinars, master classes, forums, round tables, workshops, debating clubs and meetings with students.
The department trains highly qualified managers that have competencies for developing and implementing strategies of different levels, creating mechanisms and implementing technologies of sustainable socio-economic development of an enterprise, the region, and the country.
Strategic partners. Prague Institute for Qualification Enhancement (Czech Republic), Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don), Dagestan State University (Makhachkala), the Foundation of Regional Social Programs "Our Future" (Moscow).
International projects and programs. The department implements joint projects with Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Prague Institute for Qualification Enhancement.
Competitive advantages. Graduates are in high demand in the labor market in the North Caucasus Federal District.
Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. NCFU has an English language version of the website (eng.ncfu.ru), the International Activity section. Foreign students are accommodated in the comfortable dormitories.
