Achievements and awards. The program underwent state accreditation in 2020.

Teaching staff. The teaching staff includes seven Doctors of Sciences and 16 Candidates of Sciences. Five employers are engaged in the educational process. The teachers conduct research on the integrated topic "Financial and credit mechanism of the regional development in the context of market relations."

Facilities and resources. There are practical training laboratories: Mini-Bank used to train specialists of front and back offices of credit companies; Mini-Exchange, a salesroom with terminals equipped with the QUIK software package providing access to stock trading.

Research: municipal finance management; public debt management; monetary policy and e-money; digitalization of the economy and financial sector; budgeting and controlling management in organizations; tools and methods for developing effective budgetary policy.

Education. The teachers use active and interactive teaching methods: interactive seminars, discussions, computer simulations, business games and role plays, case study. Employers are engaged in the development of educational programs.

Strategic partners. The university has concluded partnership agreements with Sapienza University of Rome, the University of Trento (Italy), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), etc. Strategic partners are Moscow Exchange, Sberbank, VTB Bank, the Division of the Southern Main Branch of Bank of Russia for the Stavropol Territory, the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory, etc.

International projects and programs. The department has implemented the project “Digital Economy and eEducation: The European Experience” as part of the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet program. The joint educational program in Corporate Finance is implemented in Russian and English languages by NCFU and Sapienza University of Rome (Italy).

The department annually organizes the international Winter Business School "Digital Economy, Management and Finance: Professional Skills Development of Modern Manager" with the participation of European universities’ representatives.

Students are prize winners and laureates of international events: the International contest “Marketing Challenge” (Trento, Italy); the International Investment Olympiad “СFA Institute Research Challenge;” the International Corporate Finance Championship “Growth Driver,” etc.

Competitive advantages. The educational program is approved and positively reviewed by employers. Graduates are in high demand in the labor market, hold managerial positions at companies, government agencies, banks.
