1970—the university started training specialists for foreign countries, including African countries

1970-90s—staff members of the KubSU Department of Function Theory went on a number of official trips to teach mathematics at the universities in Algeria, Angola, Mozambique, and the Republic of Congo 

July 28, 2023—the first agreements on cooperation with the African universities (the Republic of Mali) were signed at the Russia—Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum in Saint Petersburg. 

August 28-29, 2023—KubSU was one of the organizers of the International Educational Forum "Russia and Egypt: Millennial Dialogue of Civilizations"

November 9-10, 2024—more than 100 KubSU volunteers participated in organizing the First Ministerial Conference of the Russia—Africa Partnership Forum in Sochi

2025 – new agreements on cooperation with Malian universities were reached

In the academic year 2025/2026, 135 students from 76 countries, including students from 26 African countries, study at KubSU

International Education Forum "Russia and Egypt: Millennial Dialogue of Civilizations"

Venue: Russian Center for Culture and Science in Alexandria

Organizers: KubSU, Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Alexandria, the Russian Center for Culture and Science in Alexandria, and the Krasnodar Territory Development Foundation with support from the Russkiy Mir Foundation

The forum is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Egypt.

As part of the forum:

• KubSU presented its educational and scientific opportunities for applicants and universities from Egypt.
• The roundtable discussion "Cooperation between Russia and Egypt: History and Prospects" took place. It was dedicated to the development of Egypt-Russia relations, egyptology in Russia, and joint expeditions of archeology researchers from the two countries.
• The university signed an agreement on cooperation with the Russian Center for Culture and Science in Alexandria, in particular, in the field of organizing and holding events aimed at attracting more applicants from Egypt to study at KubSU.

Cooperation between KubSU and Malian universities

In the near future, KubSU plans:

in cooperation with the University of Legal and Political Sciences of Bamako and the University of Arts and Humanities of Bamako

• To create a multimedia center for giving classes and workshops
• To invite Malian teachers to undertake an internship at KubSU
• To develop joint Master’s programs in general fields of study

in cooperation with the Institute of University Pedagogy

• To create a network laboratory of pedagogy and social and humanitarian studies
