Origin of the name

Every letter has its own path and its own foundation in history. The letter Д traces its lineage back to the Greek “Delta” (a simple triangle which is a symbol of stability). Interestingly, the letter D follows such substantial letters as А, Б, В, and Г.  It is no less important, and holds a special significance: for the Slavs, it signified “dobro” (“goodness”). It was not merely a word, but a moral compass (honesty and willingness to support).
