In October, Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University held a series of meetings in Sri Lanka aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation in medical education.
The delegation of Pirogov RNRMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia, consisting of Yana Grigorieva, Head of the International Department, and Ekaterina Ivanova, a staff member of the International Department, visited the National Hospital of Sri Lanka and held a meeting with Doctor Kumara Wickramasinghe, director of the hospital.
During the meeting, they discussed the provision of medical care in Russia and Sri Lanka as well as the exchange opportunities for students, academic staff and medical personnel to gain new experience and provide advanced training for specialists in both countries.
Moreover, at the Russian House in Colombo, the largest city in Sri Lanka, the Pirogov University representatives met with the students of the top colleges in Colombo, inlcuding Royal College, Colombo, Ananda College, and Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya. The university specialists told Sri Lankan students about admission to Pirogov RNRMU and gave them a master class.
