With support from the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Pretoria, Johannesburg hosted the conference of the International Russophile Movement. It brought together more than 150 political scientists, experts, academicians as well as social activists from RSA and foreign countries.

The program included the roundtable discussion “African Unity in the Multipolar World.”

The meeting was opened by Russia’s Ambassador to RSA Roman Ambarov: “The International Russophile Movement unites people from all over the world once again. The fact that these events are held in South Africa is of particular importance. Being a strategic partner of Russia, an old friend and a close BRICS ally, South Africa is one of the African continent leaders.”
