The teachers of the department are frequent winners of grants provided by the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation and the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, and students obtain international certificates and diplomas. In 2013 the joint grant of the European Parliament and the State Duma of the Russian Federation “Young Leaders of Russia” was implemented and students underwent the course of studies in Brussels.
Teaching staff. Two Doctors of Sciences, 12 Candidates of Sciences. Teachers publish their papers in all-Russian and international editions including those reviewed by the State Commission for Academic Degrees and Titles. The heads of enterprises and organizations of the Stavropol Territory are also engaged in the educational process.
University partners within the educational program. Internet service providers: Rostelecom, Vimpelcom, MegaFon, MTS. The Energomera Concern electronics manufacturer; Business-IT Company Group, VTB Bank of Moscow, VTB 24, Sberbank of Russia, Vozrozhdenie Bank, the Gazprom energy company, Stavropol dairy plant, and other large enterprises of the region.
Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Alumni are employed as leading IT-specialists at major commercial and non-commercial organizations such as Concern Energomera. In particular, they work as chief information officers at VTB Bank of Moscow, Sberbank of Russia, and Business-IT Company Group and Partner Plus software developers.
Facilities and resources. NCFU has all the facilities and resources required to offer its students proper learning opportunities: 17 academic buildings, comfortable dormitories, a research library, and gyms. Students can attend specialized sports clubs and creative studios and use services of the Alumni Employment and Student Career Planning Center.
Opportunities for students. Students have massive opportunities and prospects when getting an internship at major private and state organizations and institutions of the Stavropol Territory and the North-Caucasus Federal District. The department implements a number of supplementary educational programs. Graduates of these programs obtain certificates of supplementary education and supplementary qualification.
The department has completed academic exchange agreements with Warsaw University of Life Sciences (Poland), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Heinrich Heine University in Dusseldorf (Germany), Southern Federal University (Russia).
Employment prospects. Business analyst, IT specialist, web designer, web administrator, system analyst, SAP specialist, chief information officer.
