HEI’s image. The Republic of Dagestan is the main producer of electric power in the North Caucasus and is among perspective regions of the world in the amount and facilities of clean and renewable electric generators. A great number of generate objects explain a high demand for specialists in this sphere. Education and training of competent specialists is carried out at the DagestanStateTechnicalUniversity.

Programme presentation. Graduates of the programme “Electrical Energy Industry and Engineering” are in-demand in all organizations of electric power industry. They canget prestigious and well-paid jobs in all power generating companies, project and operation organizations, government bodies and commercial structures.

A high level of education is provided by modern material and technical resources of the Faculty: there are 11 computer classrooms supplied with necessary equipment and 15 research laboratories.

Teaching staff. Experienced and qualified teachers provide a high level of training. The teaching staff comprises 9 Doctors of Science and 33 Candidates of Science including five Honoured Scientists of Russian Federation and Republic of Dagestan.

Competitiveness of students. The students of the Faculty successfully combine research and education. A number of students who succeed in studies participate in all-Russian Olympiads and competitions in electric engineering, physics and other disciplines. Many students are scholarship holders of Russian Federation President, Russian Federation Government, Government of the Republic of Dagestan and other funds and authorities.

Interaction with employers. Students have academic and work experience at the departments or laboratories of the University and in partner organizations. Education is carried out in cooperation with such high-tech enterprises as JSC “RusHydro”, JSC “Dagestan Energy Service Company”, JSC “Makhachkalinskiegorelectroseti”, JSC “Dagenergoset” and JSC “Rosseti”.

Upon completion of the studies graduates are in-demand in all spheres of industry, education, health care system, management and business. Some are known in Russia and abroad as highly qualified specialists.
