Programme presentation. Faculty of Power Engineering and Faculty of Mechatronics and Automation offer training in the following Master’s programmes: Automation of Energy Systems, Analysis and Modes of Electrical Power Systems, Transformation of Renewable Kinds of Energy, Systems of Electric Power Supply, Engineering and Physics of High Voltage, Electrical Power Systems and Networks, Methods of Research and Simulation of Processes in Electric and Mechanic Energy Transformers.
Laboratory and practical classes are conducted in computer rooms and laboratories on the latest equipment produced by Siemens, Schluberger, Yokogawa, SEW-Eurodrive, Hilti, Bosch, etc. 4 small-scale innovation enterprises and training and education centres have been established.
Teaching staff. Education and training is conducted by 28 Doctors of Technical Sciences. Over 80% of the teaching staff have scientific degrees. Among the teachers are Honoured Workers of Science and Technology of the RF, honorary educators and inventors of the
Competitiveness of students. A pre-degree practice of Master students is held in the leading companies of electro-engineering and transportation industries of the region.
The Doctoral Dissertation Council in this field works at the University. Those who proceed with the studies taking a post-graduate course, can choose between Electromechanics and Electrical Apparatus, Electro-engineering Complexes and Systems, Electro–Technology and Engineering of High Voltage. Annually 6–8 candidate and 1–2 doctor-degree dissertations are successfully defended.
