Accreditation. State accreditation (2018).
Teaching staff. Training is provided by experience teachers, including Candidates of Sciences, Professors, and Associate Professors. Two teachers hold the titles of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Honored Architect of the Russian Federation. Most
teachers are laureates of international and all-Russian contests on art, architecture and design, members of creative professional unions such as the Union of Designers of Russia, the Saint Petersburg Union of Architects, the Saint Petersburg Union of Designers, the Saint Petersburg Union of Artists.
Facilities and resources. Classrooms for creativity classes, computer classrooms with modern software, specialized classrooms with multimedia equipment.
Education. Training combines classroom, independent and practical work, participation in professional contests and research and practice conferences. Senior students take part in developing the concepts of interiors for various purposes. From the perspective of modern interior environment design, the subject world assumes a special significance. Furniture, decorative finishing materials, interior textile, indoor sculpture objects must have a common artistic style, which creates a necessary modern image of objects. Students acquire all these skills while mastering the disciplines of the educational program.
Research. Students present their reports and research papers at annual research and practice conferences, obtaining different diplomas and awards, on a regular basis. Having gained scientific knowledge and practical experience, the program graduates are ready to carry out project, information technology and research activities according to the major.
Competitive advantages. Graduates are in high demand in the job market in the existing segment as they have analytical and engineering skills, managerial abilities, a desire to experiment, an ability to create the projects of the architectural, urban and landscape
environment with their functional, object and artistic enrichment, an understanding of economic factors of the profession.
Employers and employment. The department graduates who have completed the program successfully solve professional tasks in the specified field of study and major. Most graduates are employed in their degree field, work for companies such as the AR-1 studio, the Start Design design studio, the Brazen company, DODESIGN INTERIOR, the Avinteriors design studio, the SQUIRREL ceramic tile store, the SPEECH magazine, and others. Graduates also complete private and state orders. The project on remodeling of the
interiors of the trading floors of the House of Books store (Nevsky Prospekt, 28) became a prize-winner, and students taking part in this project received the appreciation letters from the Saint Petersburg House of Books company.
