Accreditation. State accreditation (2018).
Teaching staff. The department employs highly qualified specialists, current designers, illustrators, members of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Designers of Saint Petersburg, laureates and diploma winners of all-Russian and international contests. The
teachers receive appreciation letters and comments on graduates’ excellent skills from companies such as Melon Fashion Group, Concept Club, Zenit Football Club, the Union of Designers of Saint Petersburg.
Facilities and resources. Computer classrooms fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and modern software are used to teach the disciplines related to digital technologies. Students use programs Adobe Creative Cloud, CorelDRAW, Clo3D to implement their ideas.
Strategic partners. Students undertake educational art history and costume history internships at the State Hermitage Museum, the Russian Museum, the Russian Museum of Ethnography and work placements at design studios and fashion houses in Russia and
Saint Petersburg. The institute cooperates with design universities in Japan and China. Many students go abroad to participate in academic exchange programs and internships.
Competitive advantages. Students participate in all-Russian and international contests for young fashion designers (WorldSkills championships in the Fashionable Clothes and Accessories Design competency, the Admiralty Needle International Contest for Young
Designers, the Fashion Leaders contest for creative fashion industry specialists, the Goldfinch contest of the best graduation collections, the Eurasia International Contest as part of the Style and Fashion exhibition fair, and others). While studying, they create fashion
collections, participating in international exhibitions held by the Union of Designers of Saint Petersburg such as Creative Approach and Fashion, Start, Vanguard in Fashion, Fallen in Love with Petersburg, Fashion Time, and others.
Employers and employment. Graduates work as designers at global brand companies in Italy, France, the USA, China, and other countries (Donatella Versace, Lanvin, Alberta Feretti, and others). Confident, ambitious, gifted graduates register their own brands, design studios, original fashion shops (Olgamol, Alena Akhamadulina, Plyaka accessories, Liza Odinokikh, Yana Shusterman, Vikzo fashion dog house, Katerina Kulida. Original Knitwear, OLGAKRYLOVA, Irina Shumikhina, Ateler Khromykh, KIRA BARYSHEVA, and others).
