Current position in rankings. North-CaucasusFederalUniversity was ranked 201 - 250 in Top 300 universities in the BRICS countries in 2018 according to the international agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). It was included in Top 35 Russian HEIs in the field of Economics and Management by the RAEX rating agency (Expert RA) in 2017.

Awards and achievements. The departments implementing educational programs are frequent winners of the contest "The Best Department of Economics" held by the Free Economic Society of Russia. The Department of Finance and Credit won the annual contest "The Best Department of NCFU" in the category of Teaching and Guiding; the Department of Economics and Foreign Economic Activity was recognized as the leader in the category of Educational Work.

Teaching staff.  Training is provided by the teaching staff that includes 16 Doctors of Sciences, the laureate of the Russian Federation Government Award in Education, Honored Workers of Science and laureates of national awards, 48 Candidates of Sciences.

Facilities and resources. The university has numerous facilities and resources that provide a favorable environment for students' academic and research work carried out in class and independently. Classrooms have multimedia and language learning equipment, computers and software. Students have access to Russian and international electronic library systems, regulatory and analytical systems.

Research. Research is conducted as part of the scientific school "Sustainable Development of Territorial Socio-Economic Systems."

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), the University of Lisbon (Portugal), the University of Trento (Italy), the University of Piraeus (Greece), and other universities.

International projects and programs. The department organizes the international WinterBusinessSchool "Digital Economy, Management and Finance: Professional Skills Development of Modern Manager" in cooperation with the University of Trento (Italy). The supplementary educational program in Economics, Management and Finance is jointly implemented with Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) and the University of Lisbon. Other projects are also implemented.

Competitive advantages. Graduates are in great demand, many of them hold managerial positions at top companies, business entities and government agencies, banks and financial companies.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. NCFU established the Department of International Cooperation.
