Awards and achievements of the educational program. International professional-public accreditation (2016).

North-Caucasus Federal University also offers a Bachelor’s program in Social Work.

Teaching staff. This Master’s program is implemented in two fields of study: Implementation of Social Policy in the Social Work System; Economics, Law, Organization and Management in Social Work (the bilingual program: the Russian and English languages). Training is provided by highly qualified teachers including four Doctors of Sciences and 19 Candidates of Sciences. Some teachers are holders of the title of Excellent Worker of Public Education, have certificates of appreciation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the StavropolTerritory.

Potential employers: the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Stavropol Territory, the Stavropol Social Service Center for Family and Children, the Committee of Labor and Social Security.

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. Students take an active part in olympiads, conferences and contests: the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Social Work; the Visiting Card contest at the III stage of the All-Russian Student Olympiad in Social Work. The outstanding alumni include O.O. Kopnina, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work of Russian State Social University (Moscow); S.O. Volobuev, a chief specialist at the Department of Social Services for Family and Children of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the Stavropol Territory. Over 95% of alumni are employed within their degree field.

Facilities and resources. The academic buildings of the university have equipment required for classes of all types. Students can benefit from eight comfortable dormitories, five refectories and nine snack bars, a healthcare center, a sports and fitness complex, and sports grounds.

Opportunities for students. Students undertake their internship at the leading social service organizations and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of the StavropolTerritory. To enhance academic mobility of students, the department has established business contracts with the BMW Charity Fund. The department has concluded a cooperation agreement with University of Manitoba (Canada) for inclusive education environment development.
