Awards and achievements of the educational program. Pursuant to the order of the Federal Service for Supervision in Education and Science of April 12, No.551 the Master’s degree courses in Air Navigation for enlarged groups of majors and the training course in Air Navigation and Operation of Aviation and Rocket and Space Equipment were recognized as accredited by the state.

In June 2017 the students, who successfully completed Master’s programs in Air Navigation, graduated from the university. It was the first graduation of the students who earned Master’s degrees in Air Navigation in the Russian Federation.

Teaching staff. Master’s degree courses are implemented by the university faculty as well as specialists of air service providers who work on contract terms and have science degrees and titles and experience in a particular professional field.

University partners within the educational program. The partners are: Pulkovo regional data processing center, Rossiya Airlines, the all-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Radio Equipment, the Aeroflot airline, PulkovoAirport, the Northern Capital Gateway company, the Design and Research Institute of Air Transport (Lenaero project).

Students’ and alumni’s achievements. The university founded the Higher School of Air Navigation in 2013. The Higher School of Air Navigation acts as an innovation platform for approvement and introduction of modern methods of organization and implementation of the educational process, advanced education technologies, development and implementation of practice-oriented competitive Master’s programs which are in great demand in this field, integration of students’ theoretical and practical training.

Facilities and resources. The university has state-of-the-art facilities and resources providing theoretical, flight simulation and practical training for aircraft staff in compliance with the international requirements.

Opportunities for students. Students doing Master’s courses in Air Navigation have an opportunity to undertake their educational internship and get employed by the leading air service providers, take part in scientific research and practical conferences.

Employment prospects. Those who successfully complete Master’s programs have ample opportunities to be employed by air service providers which deal with air traffic and aviation operations. As a rule, they occupy managerial positions in line with the requirements contained in job descriptions of the air traffic services providers.
