Teaching staff. The program is delivered by highly qualified specialists with extensive practical and research experience. Over 76% of the teaching staff have academic degrees or titles, Professors, Doctors of Sciences, make 16% of the faculty. Top management and personnel of the industrial enterprises are involved in the educational process as visiting lecturers. The achievements of the teaching staff are highly acknowledged by the academic and professional communities of the Russian Federation.
University partners within the educational program. The department cooperates with the relevant departments of the National University of Science and Technology MISiS, Ukhta State Technical University, Ural Federal University, South Ural Federal University, Orenburg State Technical University and other educational institutions. The partners of the program involved in the curriculum design include Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, the OSK electric engineering company, the Chelyabinsk Pipe Mill and other major producers of the Ural region. Other program partners include the KonsOM SKS engineering company, the research and the ITC Ausferr research technology center, and others.
Students’ achievements. Students regularly take part in and become winners of national and international conferences, contests and competitions of professional excellence, as well as subject specific olympiads.
Facilities and resources. All non-resident students are accommodated at the university dormitories. Students are welcome to use a swimming pool, the Yunost health and training center in Bashkortostan, a clinic, a mountain ski resort and an extensive sports infrastructure. The students of the department are four-time winners of the federal competition among the student community development programs. The classrooms feature state-of-the-art equipment as well as test stands by National Instruments, Schneider Electric, and B+R.
Opportunities for students. Students enrolled in the program have a chance to take part in academic mobility programs both in Russia and abroad. This profile is realized at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and postgraduate levels. Thus, the graduates from the Bachelor’s degree course may pursue their Master’s degree followed by a postgraduate degree.
