Programme presentation. The Russian oil and gas complex is the basis for export deliveries and budget exchange earnings. The priority of the industry determines the need for training of specialists and researchers in the field of oil and gas fields development and operation, oil and gas transportation.

The educational process is distinguished by quality information support and use of interactive programmes. Students are provided with educational and methodological and scientific literature and have access to e-learning resources. Teaching staff. More than 75% of teachers in the profile disciplines of the area of training “Petroleum Engineering” have academic degrees; most of them have considerable work experience at oil and gas enterprises. Training of students at a high level is carried out by 7 Doctors and 15 Candidates, some of which have the titles of “HonouredWorkerof High School of the RF”, “Honoured Worker of Oil and Gas Industry of the Russian Federation”.

Competitiveness of students. Students annually achieve high results in international, national, regional and university Olympiads and conferences.

The practical part of training is provided with the agreements on the placement of students for work experience at the major oil and gas enterprises of the Stavropol region and other Russian regions. Students undergo professional training for two blue-collar occupations, which is evidenced by the issuance of appropriate certificates.

Interaction with employers. Development of the educational programme involved the leading specialists of oil and gas industry. The Department has long-term experience in cooperation in personnel training with a number of oil and gas companies, in particular with LLC “Gazprom transgaz Stavropol”, LLC “RN-StavropolNefteGaz”, LLC “Gazprom PHG”, JSC “SevKavNIPIgaz”.
