Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.
Awards and achievements. Students take part in grant competitions as part of the implementation of the Stavropol Territory’s youth policy (2019), in Gazprom Student Olympiad in Chemical Engineering.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by top-notch specialists. The academic degree holders ratio is 100%.
Facilities and resources. The department has educational laboratories of chemical engineering of oil fuels and gas, industrial ecology. To carry out technological and environmental engineering calculations, state-of-the-art software packages are used. Students learn to carry out calculations of production plant equipment, pollutant distribution in the atmosphere, do the part of industrial enterprises’ projects related to manufacturing technology and environmental impact evaluation.
Education. State-of-the-art technologies and laboratory equipment are used in the educational process. Students do practical training under the work placement agreements with major enterprises in the regions of Russia such as the Stavrolen chemical enterprise, the
Ryazan Oil Refining Company that regularly give positive feedback on employed graduates.
Research. Today the university has unique high-technology research equipment for cutting-edge basic and applied research.
Competitive advantages. Specially equipped rooms and classrooms, computer classrooms with software for modeling and designing chemical engineering equipment. The research laboratory of chemical engineering of motor fuels, oil and gas analysis has the following unique equipment: SETA-Petrodist 500Q installation for determining the fractional composition of oil and oil products under vacuum, the MCB universal catalytic installation, GC-2010 Plus AF IVD gas chromatograph. Internships are undertaken at specialized
organizations such as Stavrolen, Nizhegorodneftegazproekt.
Employers and employment. Possible positions for graduates are process unit operator Grade 4, medical technologist, process engineer, design engineer, workshop manager, chief engineer, department head.
