Achievements. The educational program is ranked among Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 14 departments, over 30 teachers, 80% of whom have academic degrees of Doctors and Candidates of Sciences. There are six Master’s programs. The degree-granting departments are the Department of Dosage Form Technology,
the Department of Industrial Pharmaceutical Technology, the Department of Chemical Engineering of Pharmaceutical Substances, the Department of Chemical Engineering Processes and Devices, and the Department of Economics and Management.
Facilities and resources. The departments have state-of-the-art laboratory analytical and process equipment. When doing practical training, students use the GMP training center equipped with state-of-the-art devices.
Education. The Moodle learning management system is used.
Strategic partners. Pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies: BIOCAD, Pfizer, Vertex, Novartis Neva, Geropharm, Pharmproject, Solopharm (Grotex), Active Component, Pharmsynthez, Polysan.
Research. Research is conducted in the field of pharmaceutical development of innovative dosage forms and application of additive technologies in the manufacture of modern medicinal products, synthesis, modification, and scaling of Russian pharmaceutical
substances, design, and optimization of operating modes of process and pharmaceutical equipment, the pharmaceutical market research including an analysis of the behavior of prices for pharmaceutical products.
Competitive advantages. As part of the Finnish-Russian Student and Teacher Exchange Program—FIRST Master students undertake study placement and internships at the University of Turku and Abo Academi University, international work placement at the Pfizer company in the USA (at the Department of Project Management and the Department of Pharmaceutical Development). Students can attend educational modules taught by Russian and international companies’ specialists in the form of lectures, hands-on classes, master classes.
Employers and employment. Graduates are sought after by scientific centers and drug manufacturing enterprises; organizations servicing and designing chemical and pharmaceutical facilities. Among graduates are pharmaceutical industry leaders at different
levels, heads of pharmacy chains, pharmaceutical organizations and warehouses, drug promotion specialists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy analysts, staff of analytical, forensic and chemical, phytochemical laboratories, quality control specialists at pharmaceutical
enterprises, medical representatives of pharmaceutical companies.
