Awards and achievements. The program underwent state accreditation in 2020 and international professional-public accreditation in 2016. The teachers published more than 600 works, in particular, in the leading Russian and foreign journals (Web of Science and Scopus), obtained five patents of the RF and one patent of the USA. The department implements the grants provided by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, the Russian Science Foundation, the RF Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The RF President grants and scholarships are also awarded.

Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 100%. The department employs seven Doctors and 18 Candidates of Sciences. The Head of the Department is a holder of the title of Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RF and was awarded the medal “For Valorous Labor.” The leading Russian and foreign scientists and representatives of the real sector of the economy are engaged in the program delivery.

Facilities and resources. The university has lecture halls equipped with multimedia, academic and research chemical laboratories, self-access centers, computer classrooms, etc.

Research. The promising areas: new methodologies of selective synthesis (development of synthesis methods for new compounds with potentially useful properties including biologically active compounds for OLED technologies, etc.), research on modern organic and medical chemistry.

Strategic partners. Southern Federal University, Ural Federal University, the Faculty of Chemistry of Lomonosov MSU, D. Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Omsk State University, Perm State University, N. D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry RAS, the Institute of Technical Chemistry of Ural Branch of the RAS. The institute has concluded cooperation agreements with enterprises such as Arnest, National Aerosol Cluster, Concern Energomera; NPK ESKOM, Monocrystal; the Alfaproekt Expert Center, Lux-S, Luminofor.

International projects and programs. The university cooperates with US universities such as New Mexico Tech, Kansas University, the University of Illinois in Chicago.
