Current position in rankings. Dagestan State Technical University is a laureate of the National contest "The Best Higher Education Institutions of the Russian Federation – 2018." It was awarded a gold medal and a laureate diploma of the All-Russian contest "100 Best Higher Education Institutions of Russia."

Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2015. The level of graduates' professional competence was highly appreciated by the regional construction organizations and enterprises.

Teaching staff. The department employs the highly qualified teaching staff including one Doctor of Sciences, Professor, three Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, three Candidates of Sciences, Assistant Professors as well as the leading specialists having production and teaching experience.

Facilities and resources. The university has well-developed facilities and resources including two computer classrooms, laboratories equipped with real-life mockups of construction machines, state-of-the-art computer equipment with relevant software to control the quality of construction and assembly works.

Research. The main research areas include refractory concretes produced based on local mineral raw materials; shuttering and reinforcing processes automation.

Education. The teachers use state-of-the-art educational models and technologies: visualization lectures, round tables, discussions, brainstorming, designing, games, simulation exercises, case study.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Republic of Dagestan.

International projects and programs. The teachers and students participate in research and development projects for young researchers, research grant competitions. They annually win prestigious awards for their research in international contests such as the International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes,” in the UMNIK program, etc.
