Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2018 and professional-public accreditation carried out by the Leningrad Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2020.
Teaching staff. 60% of teachers have academic degrees. Among them are two Doctors of Engineering Sciences and 16 Candidates of Sciences (Engineering, Physical and Mathematical, and Chemical Sciences). Also, seven teachers are representatives of specialized organizations.
Facilities and resources. The department has state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, including laboratories of electronics, automatic control systems, electronic drive, basics of automation and computer engineering, electrical engineering, and chemistry. Teachers use research facilities of follow-up control systems for practice-oriented training.
Research. The department's teaching staff conducts research in many up-to-date areas of engineering, in particular, in cyber physical and follow-up systems.
Education. As part of the educational program, students gain theoretical knowledge and practical research and project skills at available state-of-the-art laboratory facilities.
Strategic partners. St. Petersburg Institute for Informatics and Automation of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute for Problems in Mechanical Engineering of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Command Devices Research Institute, Efremov Scientific Research Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus, and others.
International projects and programs. Students and teachers take an active part in international research and practice conferences, contests and grant programs, in particular, the ISA's European Contest of Student Research Papers.
