Achievements and awards. This program has successfully undergone state and public accreditation and was listed among the Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. StateUniversity of Humanities and Social Studies is ranked among 150 universities delivering high quality legal education by the Association of Lawyers of Russia.

Teaching staff. The faculty employs 29 educators including academic staff holding PhD Habil. (22%) and PhD (66%) degrees. Heads and experienced officers of legal organizations (at least 7% of the staff) are involved in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. Classrooms and computer classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. Students have access to regularly updated reference legal systems such as Consultant Plus and Garant, electronic library systems such as Knigafond, Znanium, Student's Consultant, etc. The faculty has one of the best forensic laboratories as well as a training judgement hall, a trace evidence analysis laboratory, and a media hall.

Research. Research is conducted under the guidance of O.E. Blinkov, PhD Habil. in Law, Full Professor (exercise and protection of inheritance rights and family law); V.S. Eliseev, PhD Habil. in Law, Associate Professor (land and agricultural law); S.I. Kirillov, PhD Habil. in Law, Full Professor (violent and juvenile crime). The university annually holds academic workshops and conferences including the All-Russian student conference "Youth Forum: Legal Sciences."

Education. The teachers use state-of-the-art teaching methods: role-playing court proceedings, case studies, etc. Under the teachers' guidance students may consult people on a wide range of legal issues in the studentCenter of Legal Protection at State University of Humanities and Social Studies.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with VitebskStateUniversity named after P.M. Masherov, the Election Committee of the Moscow Region, municipal authorities of Kolomna, the Intermunicipal Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kolomna, the Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Voskresensky District, the Kolomna municipal court, the Kolomna branch of the Moscow Region’s bar association, etc.

International programs and projects. Students have an opportunity to participate in academic mobility programs under the cooperation agreements with YankaKupala StateUniversity of Grodno (Belarus) and HarbinNormalUniversity (China) and to take part in international student conferences and forums.
