Awards and achievements. The program is ranked among the best educational programs of innovative Russia. The students and graduates participate in and win educational and research contests, such as "Best Student Essay," "Young Scientists of Transport Industry," etc.

Teaching staff. The program is carried out by highly qualified teaching staff, including 19 Doctors of Sciences and 41 Candidates of Sciences. Vice managers and department managers of companies of the industry, such as Aerosila Inc. and State Research Institute of Civil Aviation, are involved in teaching.

Facilities and resources. The University offers all the necessary social environment conditions for the students. The resource foundation is at a very high level — a dormitory, a gym complex, special equipment at laboratories and classrooms, a simulator center, a training aviation engineering center, a scientific engineering library.

Research. The main spheres of the research are: "Efficiency of Technical Operation; Airworthiness of Aircraft," "Analysis and Synthesis of Operational and Technical Properties of Aircraft," "Diagnostics, Non-destructive Testing and Durability of Aircraft Engines."

Education. The students have practical training at the major companies of the aviation industry (Moscow air hub) and specialized departments of the Faculty of Mechanics. The educational program also includes research and teaching practice.

Strategic partners. Federal Agency of Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya), Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, Tupolev Inc., Aeroflot, Irkut Corporation, Russian Helicopters Holding, Zhukovskiy Military Air Engineering Academy, etc.

Competitive advantages. The graduates of the University are trained for future research and teaching activity at research and educational institutions, design, engineering and technological activity at the Design Bureau of the aviation industry, etc. Over 60% of the graduates become employed in the aviation area — at the companies of civil, state and experimental aviation and aviation industry.

Assistance and support for international teachers and students. The University cooperates with numerous international universities and accepts international students from over 35 countries annually. The foreign nationals that do not speak the Russian language are offered a 1-year preparatory faculty course.
