Awards and achievements. Between 2015 and 2021, the staff of the Department has implemented two innovative projects supported by grants from RHSF and RFBR.

Facilities and resources. The rooms are fitted with up-to-date audiovisual equipment, the laboratories are fitted with training stands that use real samples of aviation equipment, computer classes, a library, cafeterias, a gym complex. A 16-storey student dormitory with medical rooms, service and food rooms, self-study rooms, relaxation, psychological relief and hobby rooms,  gyms and inventory rooms is available.

Teaching staff. The teaching staff consists of three Doctors of Sciences and six Candidates of Sciences, including two Professors and five Associate Professors. Two teachers of the Department are Honored Workers of Higher Professional Education of Russia. The head of the educational program is a full member of the Business Management Professional Association.

Education. The program combines general engineering and aviation training with detailed study of all business processes in aviation transport and the ways of management and optimization. Special attention is paid to studying specialized software. The students have practical training at civil aviation companies.

Strategic partners. The department has business contacts with Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, Moscow Aviation Institute, Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, State University of Management, as well as BITEK, Software AG, BaseGroup Labs, 1C, ExpertSystems, PM Expert.

Competitive advantages. The graduates of the educational program become employed at civil aviation quality control services, as well as consulting companies that are specialized in the implementation of process innovations.  They are able to work as business analysts, process analysts, business process regulation specialists.

Assistance and support for international teachers and students. The University cooperates with numerous international universities and accepts international students from over 35 countries annually. The foreign nationals that do not speak the Russian language are offered a 1-year preparatory faculty course.
