The event is aimed at promoting the Russian language and culture and brings together thousands of young people from various countries.
Organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Center for Education Development and International Activity ("Interobrazovanie")" (https://vk.com/ined_ru) with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (https://vk.com/minobrnauki).
Who can participate:
- Teams of 4 people: 1 mentor (aged 21+) and 3 participants.
- Participants: foreign citizens and stateless persons aged 16–35; citizens of the Russian Federation are not eligible to participate.

The qualifying stage takes place online from July 17 to October 1, 2026: language tests, portfolio uploads, and creative tasks are available to complete on the website.
The final will take place in Moscow from November 19 to 23, 2026. The organizers cover round-trip travel to the Russian Federation, visa support, accommodation, and meals during the final. Qualified participants will enjoy competitive tasks, various activities, and excursion programs. The grand prize is the title of World Russian Language Champion, a trophy, and the opportunity to study at Russian higher education institutions free of charge!
