Nwokocha Revs Chukwudi, a fourth-year student from Nigeria leading an active social life at the university
There are three children in my family, and all of us got an education in Russia. I chose Saratov University and, despite the challenges I faced during seven years of study, I never regretted my choice.
During my first year in Russia, I studied the Russian language. Many of my new friends put effort not only into their studies but also into their creative projects. I looked at the guys who sang, danced, and played at amateur theaters, and I knew exactly that I wanted to be one of them. I began taking dance classes in Nigeria and continued it in Russia. On my way, I received great support from the university staff that helped me to adapt.
Now I’m completing my studies at the Institute of History and International Relations and planning to apply for a Master’s degree at our university. At the same time, I have become a rather popular dancer in Saratov. I am invited to mass city events and I am a coach for young dancers and gymnasts who are winners and prize-winners of international contests.
So, SSU students have the opportunity not only to get a prestigious and sought-after education but also to show themselves in the creative, cultural and social life of the university community.
