Programme presentation. The Programme trains bachelors of two specialties (“Technology of Mechanical Engineering” and “Metal Working Machines and Complexes”), which assures graduation of highly-qualified specialists in technology of mechanical engineering, design and exploitation of technological equipment and means of automated support of engineering solutions in mechanical engineering. Students master skills of designing and developing technological processes of machine building (production of raw parts, part processing, assembling, and testing).

The University maintains cooperation with Higher Technical School of Aachen (Germany), Concern ThyssenKrupp AG; invites leading teachers of Russian (Moscow State University of Technology “STANKIN”, BaumanMoscowStateTechnicalUniversity) and foreign partner-HEIs.

Teaching staff. Teaching is conducted by experienced teachers: Doctors and Candidates of Technical Sciences Y. Kabaldin, O. Kretinin, G. Maslov, I. Laptev, V. Tikhanov, G. Kanevsky and others. Teachers regularly take professional development courses.

Competitiveness of students. The students together with teachers actively participate in national and international mechanical engineering conferences. Annually a number of students win scholarships of various levels (scholarship of the Government of Nizhny Novgorod region, R.E. Alekseev scholarship, scholarship of the University Academic Council, scholarship of the Concern ThyssenKrupp AG).

Interaction with employers. Over 90% of graduation theses are developed by orders and with the participation of partner-organizations. Graduates work in enterprises of various sectors of industry: aviation (Nizhny Novgorod aircraft factory “Sokol”, Commercial Association “Teploobmennik”), automobile (GAZ-Group companies), radioelectronic (Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Technology, OJSC “Nitel”, OJSC “PetrovskyZavod”), defence complex (Almaz-Antey), “Rosatom” (Federal Research and Development Centre “Sedakov, Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Technology”, Russian Federal Nuclear Centre, Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics (Saratov) and others. The highest level of acquired knowledge enables graduates to occupy managerial positions of any level.
