Achievements and awards. Since 2011 the program has been recognized as the best by the Medical League of Russia. It successfully underwent state and professional-public accreditations in 2018.
Teaching staff. The academic staff include 61.2% Candidates of Sciences and 15.7% Doctors of Sciences, 77.4% totally). The teachers have discipline/module-related basic education; the average age is 46, there are four Doctors of Sciences under 39.
Facilities and resources. The university has 73 classrooms in the main building, 40 classrooms in the academic and laboratory building, 300 classrooms at medical institutions. The total number of seats is 6,195, which is sufficient for effective educational activities at all levels of professional education.
The university utilizes clinics of 40 medical institutions of Voronezh under contracts for uncompensated use of property.
Research. Prediction of treatment efficacy in alcoholic hepatitis; identification of adverse reactions to some drug products and their pharmacological correction; study of pharmacological effects of known and new biologically active substances with antioxidant properties; choice of infection treatment options based on immunosuppressive and immune-enhancing effect of antibiotic drugs; extra-cortical osteosynthesis; reduction of suture tension in prosthetic hernioplasty of umbilical hernia with large diastasis recti abdominis.
Education. The teachers use novel educational models and technologies: problem-based techniques for giving lectures and performing seminars, group consultations, project activities, press-conferences, etc.
Strategic partners. The educational organizations of the East-European Research and Education Medical Cluster (Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, Yaroslavl State Medical University, Ryazan State Medical University), medical universities of Volgograd, Kazan, Belgorod.
International projects and programs. The faculty cooperates with Harbin Medical University and Guangdong Pharmaceutical University (research and practice study placements, introductory internship, joint innovative projects). Students participate in the International Student Conference “Semmelweis 2019” at Semmelweis University (Budapest).
Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. In cooperation with the International Institute of Medical Education and Cooperation (IIMEC) the university holds the events that help students with their socio-cultural adaptation (the work of group supervisors and the national student chamber, co-education with Russian citizens).
