Achievements and awards. The program successfully underwent international external evaluation, which is confirmed by the corresponding certificate.

Teaching staff. The program is implemented by over 450 teachers including 93 Doctors of Sciences, 267 Candidates of Sciences. The staff includes Academician of the RAS, 5 Honored Science Workers of the RF, 7 Honored Doctors of the RF, 4 laureates of the National Award of the RF, 4 laureates of the RF Government Award, current heads of specialized authorities and organizations (Head of the Directorate of Rospotrebnadzor for the Samara Region – the Chief State Sanitary Inspector for the Samara Region and the Chief Medical Officer of the Center of Hygiene and Epidemiology in the Samara Region).

Facilities and resources. Training is provided at the university clinics, the Directorate of Rospotrebnadzor for the Samara Region and in the multidisciplinary accreditation and simulation center. There are classrooms equipped with multimedia, an extensive library collection, two reading halls, two e-learning rooms.

Research. The most promising research areas: research on the impact of environmental factors on population health, evaluation and improvement of working conditions, rationalization of population nutrition, current issues in hygiene of children and adolescents.

Education. Advantages: strengthening vertical integration of basic and clinical disciplines, practice-oriented and modular training, project activities, new information disciplines, a competency-based approach with active and interactive teaching methods, simulation technologies (computer-aided dummy robots, virtual simulators of the 7th level of realism), the modern assessment system (multiple-choice questions-MCQ, a mini-clinical examination, an objective structured clinical examination-OSCE); collaboration with the Center for Breakthrough Studies of SamSMU, the Technopark, RECs.

Strategic partners. North-Western SMU named after I.I. Mechnikov, I.M. Sechenov First Moscow SMU, Saratov SMU named after V.I. Razumovsky, Orenburg SMU, and Bashkir SMU.

International projects and programs. Teachers and students go abroad (to Germany, France, Macedonia, and other countries) to deliver lectures, give practical classes, undertake internships and work placement. Thanks to cooperation with the International Federation of Medical Students Associations, students annually share their experience.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. The Department of International Relations carries out international scientific and educational activities of the university, implements joint international projects.
