Awards and achievements. This program has been a part of the educational process since the founding of the University. Over the past 50 years, several thousand students have graduated from it. The program has successfully undergone over five state accreditations. The latest accreditation took place in 2019. Currently, the program complies with the Federal Educational Standard requirements. The education is carried out in accordance with the international rules of training specialists to maintain airworthiness of aircraft.

Teaching staff. The educational process is carried out by highly qualified teachers, including major scholars such as Professors S. Kuznetsov, S. Khalyutin, and others), skilled Associate Professors (A. Savelov, V. Gabets, G. Peregudov, and others). Over 60% are scientific degree holders. Managers and employees of operational enterprises and scientific organizations are involved in teaching.

Facilities and resources. The classrooms are fitted with up-to-date audiovisual equipment, the laboratories are fitted with training stands that use real samples of aviation equipment, etc.

Education. The students have six kinds of practical training: electrical installation (obtaining primary skills), electromechanical and simulator training, technological, operational and pre-graduate training. Most of them take part at the training simulator center using electronic semi-natural aircraft simulators and at the training aviation base using training aircraft. Several kinds of practical training take place outside the University according to contracts with design bureaus of the aviation industry and operational enterprises of civil aviation. Further education, such as Master's degree and postgraduate degree, is available. The Institute of Advanced Training and Staff Attestation functions as part of the University.

Strategic partners. Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation, Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation, Samara National Research University, etc., as well as universities of China, Czech Republic, France, and other countries.

Competitive advantages. The majority of the graduates become employed at the departments of Russia's major airlines: Aeroflot, Rossiya, S7 Airlines, Pobeda, etc., at operational enterprises of civil aviation that provide high salary and career opportunities. The graduates are also in demand at research and educational institutions of civil aviation and design bureaus of the aviation industry.
