Achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. NCFU won the federal UMNIK contest (2020). NCFU implements two Russian President grants. The department students with the Functional Dessert – MILKCHERRYMIX project were shortlisted as the best FoodNet projects.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 45 teachers. Over 88% have academic degrees of Candidate or Doctor of Sciences.

Facilities and resources. State-of-the-art devices for express analysis of composition and properties of food raw material, spectrophotometry, cryoscopy, refractometry, high-performance liquid chromatography. Research laboratories: Nanobiotechnology and Biophysics, Electro- and Baromembrane Technologies, NCFU Biological Engineering Center.

Research. Basic research and applied R&D are conducted as part of the federal scientific school "Living Systems" under the supervision of the RAS Academician A.G. Khramtsov and Professor I.A. Evdokimov.

Education. Project-oriented training aimed to use and develop research, problem-based and searching methods with developing an individual learning path.

Strategic partners. The educational program is developed and implemented in cooperation with leading industrial partners and is aimed to create the conditions to ensure global technology leadership of the Russian Federation by 2035 by "bringing up national champions" for the high-technology market of the future of the FoodNet food industry.

International projects and programs. NCFU cooperates with the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Belarus State University (Minsk), University of Milan, Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal), Laval University (Canada).

Competitive advantages. Classes are conducted in specialized laboratories "Public Catering Technology," "Processes and Devices of Food Production," and other laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment, the laboratories of top European universities, at partner food enterprises with the involvement of leading process engineers, chefs and caterers.

Assistance and support for international students and teachers. NCFU seeks international cooperation for sharing experience in various areas of research and education, internships for students and PhD students.
