Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2015.
Teaching staff. The highly qualified teaching staff includes two Doctors of Sciences, Professors, four Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors as well as the specialists in the field of development and creation of software for information systems. The teachers regularly improve their qualification undertaking work placement at enterprises and specialized educational institutions, actively participate in scientific, teaching and guiding activities. They have published more than 200 papers including those in leading journals, obtained more than 40 patents for inventions, published monographs and study guides approved by the Academic Methodological Association, and more than 200 methodological guidelines.
Facilities and resources. Teachers use demonstration equipment and training aids. Computer classrooms and laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art computer technology. Students have an access to the electronic information educational environment of the university.
Research. As part of the program the department conducts research in the field of intelligent automated design systems for production processes in machine building and intelligent control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles. Since 2012 the department has been regularly holding the seminar "Complex System Modeling," and the teachers of the department, students and postgraduate students participate in this seminar with great enthusiasm.
Education. The social networking services, information and communication technologies, the Internet are used in the educational process.
Strategic partners. As part of the agreements on cooperation in science and technology the university interacts with Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University), Southern Federal University, the Dagdiesel Plant and the Aviaagregat Plant, and other specialized enterprises.
International projects and programs. The department staff has high scientific potential. The teachers participate in and win, in cooperation with students, various international and all-Russian contests (the International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes,” the International exhibition "Measurements, World, Person," the UMNIK contest, the annual all-Russian contest "Smart Russia," the START program, etc.).
Competitive advantages. Graduates have the amplest employment opportunities in all areas of sciences, industrial sectors, education, healthcare, in the field of management, business, at law enforcement agencies and special services, institutions of the military-industrial complex, and research institutes.
