Achievements and awards. The educational program underwent professional-public accreditation in 2015.

Teaching staff. The highly qualified teaching staff includes one Doctor of Sciences, Professor, three Candidates of Sciences, Associate Professors, four Candidates of Sciences, Assistant Professors as well as the leading specialists in the field of information technologies and applied informatics in economics.

Facilities and resources. The university has well-developed facilities and resources: three computer classrooms, the laboratories of state-of-the-art computer technology with relevant software and internet connection.

Research. The main research areas are development and creation of automated information systems in economics, prediction of socio-economic and environmental problems in the Republic of Dagestan, mathematical and instrumental methods of economics.

Education. The educational process mainly focuses on the integrated knowledge acquisition model consisting of the full acquisition model and the model of automated training systems. This integrated model is implemented in the following areas: automated testing of current students' knowledge; placement of electronic copies of laboratory operations manuals in the department's computer classrooms; use of information retrieval systems.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with Lomonosov Moscow State University, National Research University Higher School of Economics, Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, and other universities.

International projects and programs. The teachers and students participate in research and development projects for young researchers and research grant competitions. They annually win prestigious awards for their research in contests such as the Moscow International Salon of Inventions and Innovative Technologies “Archimedes,” the UMNIK program, and other projects.
