Teaching staff. The program is delivered by six Doctors of Sciences and 24 Candidates of Sciences. Modern training equipment is extensively used in the educational process: multimedia classrooms, computer classrooms, software packages, SPSS, MatLab, Eviews and other e-learning systems.

University partners within the educational program. The faculty cooperates with the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, Lavrentyev Institute of Hydrodynamics of the Siberian Branch of the RussianAcademy of Sciences, the Faculty of Mathematics of Novosibirsk National Research State University. The staff involved in the program delivery upgrade their teaching skills and knowledge at the leading HEIs of Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Moscow, St. Petersburg.

Alumni’s achievements. Graduates from the program are well demanded at the labor market. They include system programmers, web-designers, engineering programmers, financial and executive directors of computer companies, bank specialists, tax office and pension fund specialists, associate professors, professors, research fellows, teachers, deputy principals and principals of secondary schools. The faculty’s prominent alumni include M. Paison, Technical Project Manager of Yandex Company (Moscow); K. Vorobev, COACH Application Developer (Japan); D. Vershinin, ALAWAR Entertainment Project Manager (Novosibirsk).

Facilities and resources. The program is delivered in well-equipped classrooms with Wi-Fi internet access. AltaiStateUniversity has adequate facilities to provide all kinds of laboratory, practical, discipline-specific, interdisciplinary training and research work of students. Non-resident students are accommodated at four dormitories included into the university campus.

Opportunities for students. Students enrolled in the program undergo their practical training at the Department of Applied Information Systems established in cooperation with 1C-Galex and the leading industrial enterprises of Barnaul city. Students are trained to apply computer methods of data analysis and processing, using application packages for modeling socioeconomic processes and phenomena, deal with specific software, IT, support and maintenance services to ensure that the processes are operating effectively.

Employment prospects. Graduates from the program are employed at research centers, computer companies, manufacturing and financial organizations, state and municipal authorities, secondary and higher education institutions.
