HEI’s image. Saint Petersburg State University of Civil Aviation is the leading Russian re-search and methodological centre in the field of training aviation personnel for civil aviation in compliance with international requirements.

The University delivers a wide range of integrated study programmes of secondary vocational, higher and further professional education based on the application of advanced educational technologies, e-learning and network forms of programmes’ delivery.

Programme presentation. This area of training allows delivering a wide range of innovative Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in compliance with the international standards and recommended practice of the International Civil Aviation Organization and the International Air Transport Organization.

The following programmes are delivered:

  • Bachelor’s programmes: “Airfield Support of Aircraft Flights”, “Operation of Ground Facilities for Electrical Technical and Lightning Aircraft Flight Support”, “Operation of Ground Facilities for Radio-Technical Support of Aircraft Flights and Aeronautical Telecommunication”, “Jet Fuel Support of Air Transportation and Aviation Works”, “Organization of Airport Activity”, “Organization and Maintenance of Rescue and Fire Prevention Works”, “Provision of Transport Safety”.
  • Master’s programmes: “Management of Airport Activity”, “Management of Transport Safety”.

Competitiveness of students. According to the Federal target programme “Development of Transport System of Russia (2010–2020)”, the development of the network of internal Russian hub airports, regional and local airports and international hub airports has been planned.

Due to the increase in air traffic and aviation works and development of airport network and aviation transport infrastructure, the industry faces high demand in qualified specialists in airport operation and airport activity for the support of take-off, landing, taxiing and parking of aircrafts and commercial service of passengers, baggage, mail and cargo.

The delivery of Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in the given area allows meeting the need of air transport institutions in qualified aviation personnel.
