Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. In 2017, the program underwent professional-public accreditation (the National Centre for Public Accreditation) for six years.
Achievements. The educational programs are listed on the European Register of Accredited Programs. The department is the winner of The Best Department of NCFU contest in the category of Effective Management of the System of Interaction with Employers, a laureate of the sectoral study “The Ranking of Russian Universities’ Departments that Train Specialists in the Field of Advertising” held by the Association of Communication Agencies of Russia (ACAR). The department traditionally wins in the grant competition held by the Russian Association of Political Consultants, the Committee on Political Technologies of the Russian Association for Public Relations (RAPR) and ICCG Consulting Group for holding the events dedicated to the Day of Political Consultant.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by 19 teachers, including one Doctor of Sciences and nine Candidates of Sciences. The researchers from Russia, Bulgaria, France, the USA are engaged in the teaching process.
Facilities and resources. Educational and information technologies ensuring the achievement of expected learning outcomes (IT methods, problem-based learning, case study, etc.) are used to deliver the educational programs.
Education. The department provides training using distance technologies.
Research. The promising research areas are media and advertising discourse, strategic communications, PR and advertising technologies in the system of new media, territory branding technologies, creating a media map of the Stavropol Territory, communication
innovations in the socio-political environment.

Graduates are successfully employed by advertising agencies, press services, scientific and educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, state and municipal authorities. Possible positions are advertising agency director, PR service manager, brand manager, marketing specialist, GR manager, PR manager, BTL manager, copywriter, public relations officer, advertising manager, SMM manager, content manager, media designer, and others.
