Accreditation. State accreditation.

Achievements. Master students participate in research conferences, contests and linguistics Olympiads at different levels and become prize-winners. Many of them receive the Russian President awards “In Support of Talented Young People” and the Yugra Governor awards “For the Best Student Humanities Research Paper,” and win grants from the NVSU Academic Council and Rector.

Education. The Master’s program updates and expands professional knowledge of specialists from other economic sectors. Graduates are not only professional translators and interpreters, familiar with the basics of linguistics, they also know modern methods for research, expert analysis, engineer activity and can effectively participate in the development of innovative language computer technologies. Theoretical training is intertwined with practice-oriented training. Students participate in Olympiads, contests and conferences, combine full-time study with independent work on online platforms. Gaming, project and research methods of teaching, collaborative learning models (team and group work) are introduced in the educational process. Students have an opportunity to follow individual learning paths, participate in academic mobility, and undertake internships abroad.

Research is conducted in the field of theoretical and applied linguistics in the areas of great current interest. Research involving students is also conducted.

Competitive advantages. Classical traditions of teaching foreign languages are intertwined with innovative educational practices in the modern linguistics program. Graduates are fluent in foreign languages, have excellent professional competencies necessary for
building a career. A unique combination of knowledge of linguistics, computer technologies, programming, operating systems, multimedia technologies allows graduates to become sought-after specialists in the job market both in Russia and abroad.

Employers and employment. Fundamental theoretical training and practical skills in artificial intelligence development technologies and foreign languages allow graduates to successfully work for companies and corporations carrying out international activity, develop
software in the field of linguistics and artificial intelligence (computer-aided translation, recognition and generation of a natural language, big data analysis, deep learning, etc.), work in education and science.
