Accreditation. State accreditation.
Awards and achievements. The program underwent external expert evaluation (the Guild of Experts in the Sphere of Professional Education and the National Center for Public Accreditation) and was recognized as the best program as part of the annual project Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. BSMU took part in the independent and objective evaluation of students’ knowledge and co-hosted the Olympiad “I am a Professional.” The faculty has trained over 5,500 specialists, including over 3500 foreign ones. Graduates work in many regions of Russia and abroad. Many of them are actively involved in research, hold positions of head physicians, are founders and directors of their clinics.
Teaching staff. Training is provided by the highly qualified teachers who are participants of international scientific programs, members of Russian and international associations, editorial boards of medical journals (Periodontology; Pediatric Dentistry and Prophylaxis; Dentistry Issues, and others), the Special Academic and Methodological Commission for Dentistry of the RF Ministry of Health. The teachers actively interact with practical healthcare authorities, carry out condensations and treat patients.
Facilities and resources. The university established a clinical dental outpatient clinic for providing quality medical care. The clinic also serves as a training facility. The faculty’s simulation center is fitted with state-of-the-art simulators.
Education. Extensive library collections and electronic databases, internet classrooms, active and interactive teaching methods, the state-of-the-art simulation center for the acquisition of practical skills, phantom classrooms. The faculty cooperates with Skoltech, Sechenov University, and Moscow State University of Medicine and Dentistry named after A.I. Evdokimov, participates in the projects for import substitution of dental materials.
Research is conducted on current issues in modern dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. Over the years, the faculty has trained 20 Doctors and over 140 Candidates of Medical Sciences.
Competitive advantages. The faculty established the Ufa Scientific Advisory Center, the International Dental Training Center, and the Dental Education Association. Students undertake educational internships and clinical placements at city pediatric and adult dental outpatient clinics, the maxillofacial departments of hospital No.21 and the Republican Pediatric Clinical Hospital. In 2022, the faculty enrolled three students who had scored 100 points in the Unified State Exams, and they get increased scholarships.
Employers and employment. All graduates are employed. The university’s cooperation with state and private dental clinics of the Russian Federation creates the opportunities for students to find a job in their degree field. While fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, students took an active part in providing medical care to the population, over 150 students worked at covid hospitals, over 200 – at the resource situation center. Students were awarded the certificates of appreciation from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
