Accreditation. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.
Awards and achievements. Students take an active part in various NCFU’s projects – study placements at University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), take first places in federal student projects “Three Sciences Tournament”, in Russian and interuniversity Olympiads (“Physiology”, “Biochemistry is the Basis of Life”).
Teaching staff. The program is delivered by four Doctors of Medical and Biological Sciences, 13 Candidates of Medical and Biological Sciences, and two Assistants.
Facilities and resources. State-of-the-art clinical and laboratory equipment, simulation equipment for drilling first aid skills. All specialized laboratories are fitted with professional state-of-the-art equipment for education and research.
Education. The program is based on training in general medicine and clinical disciplines, in-depth study of clinical disciplines, clinical laboratory diagnostics combined with research, research on the structure and properties of chemical elements, basics of cellular regulation in living organisms.
Research. The research areas are compensatory and adaptive mechanisms of peripheral blood, morphofunctional and immuno-physiological features of the organism in ontogenesis. NCFU has the unique educational and scientific clinical and laboratory center comprising the laboratories of cellular nanotechnology, cell biophysics, genomics and proteome and the simulation center for drilling first aid skills.
Competitive advantages. The program offers great opportunities for people who want to choose a research area in the future and pursue their career in medical diagnostics as well. Training allows specialists to update their knowledge and develop more medical skills both in Russia and abroad.
Employers and employment. The Puls research and production association, the City Clinical Emergency Hospital of Stavropol, Microgen, Stavropol Research Anti-Plague Institute, the Stavropol Territorial Blood Transfusion Station, Stavropol Territorial Clinical Oncologic Dispensary. Graduates can work as clinical laboratory diagnostics doctors, virologists, bacteriologists, molecular geneticists, clinical bioinformaticians, IT geneticists, tissue engineers, genetic counselors.
