Current position in rankings. The university is ranked 11th among HEIs of Saint Petersburg and 50th among HEIs of the Russian Federation according to Forbes. The university was ranked 14th among technical HEIs of Russia according to quality monitoring of state-funded enrollment in Russian HEIs in 2018 and 42th according to the Ranking of Demand for Higher Education Institutions in the Russian Federation – 2018. The graduates' employment rate is 89.4%.
Teaching staff. The program is implemented by the highly qualified teachers who have academic degrees. All of them are members of creative unions. Many of them cooperate with the largest Russian publishing houses such as Machaon (Moscow), Speech, VITA NOVA (Saint Petersburg), etc.
Education. Students specializing in graphic arts are trained in the Printed Product Design major. The teachers use state-of-the-art learning approaches and technologies: project and research methods, seminars, role plays and business learning games, information and communication technologies, the innovative evaluation system "Portfolio."
Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Union of Artists of Russia; the VITA NOVA publishing house; the Russian Collection of Saint Petersburg publishing house; the Center of Book and Graphic Arts; the GALART advertising and publishing company.
International projects and programs. The participants of international academic mobility programs share professional creative experience and give open lectures and master classes. The department regularly holds personal exhibitions of teachers and students' work, participates in international and all-Russian exhibitions, festivals, contests and biennials in graphics: the International Biennial of Illustration in Bratislava, the Tallinn Illustrations Triennial “The Power of Pictures,” the International Festival of Arts in Turku (Finland), the contests “The Book of the Year” and “The Image of the Book – Non Fiction,” and others.
