Achievements and awards. The program underwent state accreditation in 2020. It underwent public and professional-public accreditation carried out by the All-Russian Non-governmental Organization “Association of Lawyers of Russia” in 2012 and 2015, respectively. In 2012 the university joined the Association of Law Education.

Teaching staff. The Institute of Law employs 128 teachers including 18 Doctors of Sciences and 89 Candidates of Sciences. The academic degree holders ratio is 83.6%. Thirty teachers from among heads and employees of specialized organizations are also engaged in the educational program implementation.

Facilities and resources. The institute comprises seven departments and a legal clinic. There are specialized classrooms; computer classrooms; a training judgment hall, a forensic laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment.

Research. Research is conducted as part of the scientific school "Issues of Crime Prevention in light of Modern Criminal Law;" there are eight research areas, 12 research and education centers and research laboratories including the research and education center for forensic examination and studies.

Education. The educational program has all required staffing, methodological, material and information support. Master classes and workshops held by employers' representatives are widely used in the educational process. Students are frequent winners of contests (the All-Russian contest “My Lawmaking Initiative,” the All-Russian contests of students’ works the project “Professional Internships 2.0,” etc.).

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with the Stavropol regional branch of the Association of Lawyers of Russia and leading regional employers (the Stavropol Territorial Court, the Commercial Court of the Stavropol Territory, the Chamber of Lawyers of the Stavropol Territory, the Notary Chamber of the Stavropol Territory, etc.).

International projects and programs. The university participates in the Jean Monnet Network program implementation in cooperation with foreign universities; it organizes and holds socially significant events to promote best practices of Russian education in Abkhazia and South Ossetia.

Competitive advantages. The teaching staff is highly qualified; the university cooperates with leading regional employers and with Russian and foreign universities and research centers (Southern Federal University, Saint Petersburg State University, Kutafin Moscow State Law University, the Saratov branch of the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, University of Graz (Austria), and others).
