Achievements and awards. Since 2016 this program has been listed among Best Educational Programs of Innovative Russia. The State University of Humanities and Social Studies is ranked among "The Best Universities of Russia" and is listed on the National Register of "Leading Educational Institutions of Russia."

Teaching staff. Over 90% of faculty members hold postgraduate academic degrees and titles. Nearly all teachers of the degree-granting Department of Linguistics and Intercultural Communication have international certificates, Levels C1-C2. Potential employers and international specialists are also engaged in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. Classrooms are fitted with state-of-the-art multimedia equipment. There are computer classrooms, a language laboratory, and a room for course projects. The university has private study areas, areas for individual and group consultations, a reading hall and the library media room in order to provide opportunities for independent study.

Research. Development of a close relationship between the three basic skill sets of science, education and the professional competence of future graduates; continuous improvement of the teaching and educational process based on basic and applied research; introduction of innovative methods and pedagogical technology into educational activities; and active participation in the social and economic development of the Moscow Region.

Education. Teachers use educational strategies such as student-centered learning, blended and flipped learning, game simulation, role plays, projects, case studies, and the Cambridge LMS electronic educational platform. Students and teachers undertake annual language internships in France, Germany, Ireland, and China.

Strategic partners. itbFirst Language Service Provider (the top-ranking translation company in Moscow Region); top Russian universities including: Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow State Pedagogical University, Moscow State Linguistic University; the embassies of China, France and Japan; Russian representative offices for international publishers; and the National Association of Teachers of English (NATE) Russia.

International projects and programs. Students participate in academic exchange programs under agreements with universities in China, France and Germany. Students also work as volunteer interpreters.

Competitive advantages. Highly qualified teaching staff; innovative teaching strategies; study abroad placements; partner relationships with major enterprises and organizations in the Moscow Region; and participation in worthy causes.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers is provided by the assistant to the Rector for International Affairs and the head of the Russian Language Testing Center for International Visitors.
