Achievements and awards. The programs underwent state accreditation in 2020.

Teaching staff. The academic degree holders ratio is 93%. Current heads and employees of organizations – directors and leading teachers of general education institutions of Stavropol and the Stavropol Territory are engaged as teachers and supervisors of teaching internships.

Facilities and resources. The educational programs are supported with academic documentation and materials for all academic courses, disciplines (modules). Students have access to databases, library collections, the electronic library system, and institute research centers.

Research. The promising research areas: state-of-the-art educational technologies; resource saving and green IT technologies in education; chronobiological aspects of neuroendocrine adaptation mechanisms; monitoring of rare and endangered animal and plant species.

Education. The teachers use personality development technologies, electronic and distance education technologies, Smart technologies, state-of-the-art assessment technologies, case technologies.

Strategic partners. The university cooperates with Russian and foreign HEIs such as University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), the Academy of Public Administration (Moscow), V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Astana, Kazakhstan), Ferdowsi University of Mashhad (Iran), etc.

International projects and programs. The university implements the international European grant “European resource saving trends in Computer Science teacher training” (the Erasmus +Jean Monnet Module program) focused on the development of students' readiness to use innovative training methods based on resource saving technologies and green IT; the grant provided by the Republic of Kazakhstan for delivering lectures at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and for advanced training of its teachers and doctoral students.

Competitive advantages. Classes are taken in learning laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art computer technology which familiarizes students with state-of-the-art IT and software.

Students undertake work placement at third-party organizations that have high workforce capacity and science and technology capabilities.

Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. Internationalization of the educational and research process is one of NCFU's top priorities and is a strategically important vector of the university development. NCFU established the Department of International Cooperation.
