Achievements and awards. The programs underwent state accreditation in 2020 and international professional-public accreditation in 2016.
Teaching staff. The educational programs are implemented by 20 teachers of the department including Doctors of Sciences (15%) and Candidates of Sciences (75%), teachers who have no academic degrees (10%) (25% of whom are employers’ representatives).
Facilities and resources. The university has all the required facilities and resources that provide a comfortable learning and social environment for students including the LOGOPEDiYA specialized laboratory with state-of-the-art equipment.
Research. The research area "Methodological and stuffing support of psychological and pedagogical counseling and continuing education of physically challenged people" which is developed through implementation of promising research topics: inclusive processes in the education system; provision of psychological and psychological counseling to physically challenged people in different educational systems; provision of early care to physically challenged children; tutoring support of the educational process for physically challenged people; ergotherapy as a rehabilitation technology for children and adults, etc.
Education. The teachers use the following technologies: problem-based lectures, seminar-discussions, seminar-studies, profession-oriented practicals, project training methods, gaming technologies, workshops, etc.
Strategic partners. The university maintains business relationships with top Russian and foreign HEIs such as Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, Southern Federal University, the Northern (Arctic) Federal University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Sapienza University of Rome (Italy), Ariel University (Israel), etc.
International projects and programs. The university maintains scientific cooperation with University of Manitoba (Canada). The teachers undertake internships at Ariel University, Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Israel), Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (Germany).
Competitive advantages. The teaching staff is highly qualified. The university cooperates and shares its experience with top Russian and foreign organizations in the field of education of physically challenged people. Practice-oriented education has been introduced.
Assistance and support for foreign students and teachers. Internationalization of the educational and research process is one of NCFU's top priorities and is a strategically important vector of the university development. NCFU established the Department of International Cooperation.
