Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020. NCFU develops and implements self-established educational standards for the Social Work program. Students are winners and prize-winners of annual all-Russian student Olympiads in the Social Work competency, contests such as I am Professional. Abilympics.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 34 teachers. Over 88% have academic degrees of Candidate or Doctor of Sciences.

Facilities and resources. NCFU established a museum of the history of social and volunteering activities in Russia and the Stavropol Territory. There are scientific student circles. NCFU's career-oriented program K-Labs is implemented.

Research is conducted in the field of living standards, innovative technologies in the activity of governmental and non-governmental social welfare institutions.

Education. Interactive teaching methods and state-of-the-art distance learning technologies are used. Students learn to work in a microcommunity, interact with the society and non-commercial organizations from the perspective of social partnership, make a social diagnosis and develop individual social service programs, evaluate and monitor the quality of social services, carry out social and preventive and social advisory activities in regards to adaptation and social rehabilitation, implement marketing technologies to develop the social service market, etc.

Strategic partners. Most of the research is conducted to benefit practical social work in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Stavropol Territory and regional caregiving institutions.

International projects and programs. The department's teaching staff has had experience in implementing the international Russian-Canadian project on the integration of people with disabilities into society "From Inclusive Education to Inclusive Society."

Competitive advantages. Students undertake internships at state and municipal social welfare authorities, caregiving institutions, non-commercial organizations. NCFU delivers the continuing professional education program "Specialist in State Youth Policy."
