Awards and achievements. The program successfully underwent state accreditation in 2020.

NCFU develops and implements self-established educational standards for the Social Work program. The department annually holds the All-Russian conference with international participation "Current Issues in Theory and Practice of Social Work and Education," which brings together over 100 participants.

Teaching staff. The program is delivered by 14 teachers. Over 93% have academic degrees of Candidate or Doctor of Sciences. NCFU develops academic teaching staff mobility. Researchers from Belarus and Slovenia are also engaged in the teaching process.

Facilities and resources. NCFU established a museum of the history of social and volunteering activities in Russia and the Stavropol Territory. There are scientific student circles, and the NCFU's career-oriented program K-Labs is implemented.

Research is conducted in the field of living standards, innovative technologies in the activity of governmental and non-governmental social welfare institutions.

Education. Interactive teaching methods and state-of-the-art distance learning technologies are used. NCFU delivers a bilingual Master's program in Economics, Law, Management in Social Work taught in Russian and English.

Strategic partners. Most of the research is conducted to benefit practical social work in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Stavropol Territory and regional caregiving institutions.

International projects and programs. The department's teaching staff has had experience in cooperating with Belarusian State University (Belarus), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).

Competitive advantages. Students undertake internships at state and municipal social welfare authorities, caregiving institutions, non-commercial organizations. NCFU delivers the continuing professional education program "Specialist in State Youth Policy." Graduates are in high demand as heads of social service organizations, medical and social assessment institutions, cultural centers, medical and social assessment specialists, social work with families, rehabilitation in the social sphere, etc.
