Institute of Sports and Physical Education
The language of instruction is Russian
Every year the Institute of Sports and Physical Education attracts a great number of applicants from Mongolia. Such popularity is not accidental and deserves a special mention.
In 2021, Battogtokh Bat-Ulzii completed his Master’s degree at NEFU with the thesis on the topic “Comparative Analysis of Freestyle Wrestling Development in Mongolia and Yakutia.” After his thesis defense, the young man went back to his home country where he is working in his degree field now.
Battogtokh Bat-Ulzii has already organized two joint freestyle wrestling training sessions for top-level athletes from Yakutia and Mongolia and continues cooperation with the institute and the sports training center of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Today two Mongolian female athletes, who have entered NEFU on the advice of Battogtokh Bat-Ulzii, are studying at the Department of Theory and Methodology of Sport, Sports Kinesiology, Recreational and Adapted Physical Education. They do freestyle wrestling and have a promising future in sport.
Mongolian athletes demonstrate a good level of fitness. They show good achievements in mas wrestling and have a solid background. This is evident from the results of training sessions held at NEFU.
Modern sports facilities and equipment give the opportunity to provide high-quality training in numerous sports areas and promote the development of sport in the republic. The institute has become an advanced forge for training competitive athletes. Every year, students achieve convincing competitive results in various sports, not only in the republic but also in the Russian Far East, at Russian and world student championships.
