Awards and achievements of the educational program. Official state accreditation (2015); professional and public accreditation (2017, the National Centre for Public Accreditation). The most important grants: “Development of innovative fermented milk products technologies using food functional ingredients” (the grant of the Russian Federation President, 2013-2014), “Project for creation and development of engineering centers and companies at the premises of higher education institutions under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia” (the pilot project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, 2014-2016), “Production design of pharmacopoeial lactose” (the Russian Federation Government Decree No.218, 2017-2019).
North-Caucasus Federal University also offers a Bachelor's program in Biotechnology.
Teaching staff. Six Doctors of Sciences, one Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, three academicians of the National Academy of Food Safety, one academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, one Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, one Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, 17 Candidates of Sciences.

Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology of Russia, Kemerovo Institute of Food Science and Technology (university), Gorsky State Agrarian University (Vladikavkaz), Belarusian State University, University of Milan (Italy), the All-Russian Research Institute of Dairy Industry, Volga Research Institute of Production and Processing of Meat and Dairy Products (Volgograd), Stavropol Research Anti-Plague Institute of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing of the Russian Federation, the All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding (Stavropol). Facilities and resources for scientific and educational process in 2013-2016 include state-of-the-art devices for express analysis of the food raw material compositions and properties, spectrophotometry, cryoscopy, refractometry, miscroscopy.
Opportunities for students. Students undertake their internship at leading food industry and bio-industry enterprises of the Russian Federation, Belarus, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Germany.
Students can participate in academic mobility programs (Erasmus Mundus), internal NCFU grants, international academic projects in cooperation with partner universities: Belarusian State University, the Technical University of Dresden(Germany), Vienna University of Technology (Austria), the University of Reading (UK).
