Accreditation. State accreditation. Professional-public accreditation (the Medical League of Russia) in 2021.
Teaching staff. Training is provided at 46 departments. The educational program 31.05.01 General Medicine in English is delivered by 65 Doctors of Sciences and over 200 Candidates of Sciences.
Facilities and resources include five educational buildings; five student dormitories; laboratory facilities with state-of-the-art equipment; computer classrooms with internet access; the library with a stock of 700,000 items of academic and scientific literature; the dental outpatient clinic, children’s clinical hospital; the sports and fitness center.
Education. Practice-oriented training, a combination of offline and online modes of study with students’ independent work on the platforms of the electronic information and educational environment such as Moodle and Webinar, participation in Olympiads, contests and conferences.
Research is conducted as part of internships “Study management and presentation of research findings in experimental and clinical studies,” “Statistical processing of research findings.” The university maintains cooperation with major scientific centers in Germany and China.
Competitive advantages. The program is taught in English during the entire period of study (six years) in the multicultural environment (700 international students from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Vietnam, Guinea-Bissau, Egypt, Israel, India, Jordan, Côte d’Ivoire, Morocco, Moldova, Nigeria, Portugal, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan). Individualization of the learning process using unique socio-cultural adaptation practices; academic mobility; international projects; participation of international students in cultural and sports events, festivals, creative contests. 2022 IIMEC graduates who pursued the English-taught program showed record results in Foreign Medical Graduate Examination in India for graduates of foreign universities – 92% got admission to medical activities. IIMEC’s main objectives are to train highly qualified specialists who know their subject well and have high-quality fundamental and practical competencies and are capable of working internationally; popularization of the Russian language abroad, development and promotion of the Russian culture; promotion of global medical advances in Russia.
Employers and employment. The university cooperates with broker companies providing legal support and preparing graduates of Russia medical universities for the exam to get their qualifications recognized in foreign states.
