Teaching staff. The program is delivered by highly qualified and experienced teaching staff and academic scholars.

University partners within the educational program. The faculty closely cooperates with the Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Research Institute of Physiology and Fundamental Medicine, the Federal Research Center Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute for Water and Environmental Problems of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Federal Altai Research Center of Agrobiotechnologies, the Tigeregsky State Nature Reserve, etc.

Alumni's achievements. The faculty's prominent alumni include P.V. Golyakov, Director of the Tigeregsky State Nature Reserve, Candidate of Biological Sciences; I.N. Marin, Research Fellow of the Laboratory of Ecology and Morphology of Marine Invertebrates of A.N. Severtsov Institute of Ecology and Evolution of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists at A.N. Facilities and resources. The university has four practical training facilities which enable students to get to know flora and fauna of the Altai Territory located in the Kosikha District, Charyshsky District, Chemal District and Barnaul. Students majoring in biology undergo their practical training at the Barnaul Zoo, where they observe rare and extinct species.

Opportunities for students. Students undergo their apprenticeships at national and international universities, institutes, museums, industrial enterprises and two external departments of fundamental and applied environmental and biological education in the Altai Territory, established at the premises of the Institute for Water and Environmental Problems of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and Secondary School No.42. Students are actively involved in the work of the Altai Center of Applied Biotechnology, the Research Institute of Biomedicine, the Prombiotech engineering center.

Employment prospects. Graduates from the faculty may be employed in sector -specific laboratories and institutions of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, and the Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service, companies involved in greening and landscape design, the criminalist expert laboratory under the main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Altai Territory, laboratories of the Regional Clinical Hospital, research and educational institutions, etc.
